"Heaven" should have stayed a cross song but the cross should have received more popularity. Maybe the public weren't noticing that roger was in the cross

Great swan song album. There's some stunning songs on there and great, great great re-workings of older songs. The lengthy guitarsolo in You Don't Fool Me is shamelessly brilliant.

THE best posthumous album of anyone I can think of EVER - it would be so easy to foul this sort of release up, but oh no, Queen wouldn't do that! I was hesitant about this album for quite a whle but recently gave it another chance and was suitably impressed. Some of it is just a little samey (eg. My Life Has Been Saved), but really that's nit-picking. Mother Love is my personal favourite because of its bridge section (too good for 1995) and in many ways this album creates a more cohesive whole than some previous albums such as A Kind of Magic. Should've been more singles. Time for a re-release, I think, get the Beatles Nouveaux out of the charts.

it's a beautiful day, made in heaven, a winter's tale are songs worth adding to the queen catalogue. For the rest it's emotion that makes this album work. Too much love will kill you is in fact a sort of overkill... too much, yes indeed. Brian May's version is a lot better, pity it didn't make it on this album. Things i don't like on this album; the choirsinging in let me live. The simple rip off singalong tune of you don't fool me (at least brian saves the day) and the pompous version of i was born to love you. Still, enough left to enjoy.

in my opinion, its certainly better than the miracle and innuendo. Made in Heaven is kick ass, as well as Beautiful day, I was born to love you, and too much love will kill you. The others are tolerable.

This album makes me cry :( Especially Too Much Love Will Kill You, even though it was written by Brian I still relate the lyrics to Freddie...and the last track, the "hidden one" is slightly spooky!

I notice that there is no mention of 'Untitled' in this forum, other than a brief mentioning by the first person. This poignant track shows the legend of Queen, and their progression. It is slightly Pink Floyd-esque, (Atom Heart Mother), but it shows how the band are not Freddie and Queen, but they are all 25% of Queen. The album traces back its roots from 'Queen' and in some songs you can hear brief guitar work from Seven seas and the main song inter-moulded with 'reprise.' A lot of mentioning of a story behind 'Mother's Love,' and there is no mention in a biography by laura Jackson. So can someone please guide the way! This compilation really sounds like the end of Queen, but it proved not to be so. 'Beautiful Day' has so much power, Mother's Love: power and feeling (but the baby scraes me) and the reprise brings the old queen into the new. I've got so much to say, so i'll cut it short. The album is brilliant, and Untitled's last words sum it up, 'Fab.' Are you running?!!

This album doesn't really gel as well as other albums, but it's probably understandable why, seeing as it was pieced together from various places. Still, a fitting tribute to Freddie's memory.

it's called Queens last album but many of the songs just weren't good enough for other albums or are remakes of old songs...still geat versions but for me, innuendo is their final work

i have heard the story of the Mother Love recordings, and i agree, it does break your heart. And if you listen carefully enough to Freddie's voice you can here a tremor in it where he's giving it his all.

This is an awesome album, with some really thought-provoking songs. The fact that Freddie recorded the vocals whilst critically ill adds even more poignancy to it. If you've ever read the story behind the recording of "Mother Love" it will break your heart...

sorry dear friends, but imho this is a test tube production, with bad mixdown, and not a homogene album. sorry, but i prefer the music they done 10-15 years before that album.

I agree with Partrick. I'm a firm believer of leaving well enough alone. I do like this album. I just like the Freddie versions better. You can hear it was Brian and Roger juicing up Freddie songs. I really like the "Queen" tracks.

Although everyone thinks this is one of the greatest Queen albums, I beg to differ. There are some killer songs on it (LML, AWT, IABD) and even TMLWKY in a very nice new setting with Freddie on vocals. But I hate what they've done to MIH or IWBTLY. I also prefer the origal version of HFE by the Cross (also with Freddie on vocals).

AWESOME album. Like 'Innuendo', the fact that Freddie recorded MOST of the vocals in a considerably weakened state is incredible. The versions of 'Made In Heaven' and 'I Was Born To Love You' considerably dwarf the 'Mr. Bad Guy' versions, (especially considering the lack of a real solo in the original 'Made In Heaven'). Also, the reprise of 'It's A Beautiful Day' is AWESOME--especially the hidden track :) The hidden track, in my opinion, is certainly a requiem for the late Freddie, and definitely something worth listening to all the way through. All in all, a great album with POWERFUL songs and, although not as hard and heavy as previous Queen releases, is a definite buy.
